Get Involved

Adopters

We have three key objectives:

one_03

To get BINS4Blokes disposal bins in male toilets Australia-wide

two_03

To encourage men who live with incontinence to engage with the National Continence Helpline to get help with the management of their incontinence.

three_03

To de-stigmatise male incontinence (for everyone, actually) and raise awareness about it.

We’ll use traditional and social media, direct engagement with key stakeholders (such as providers of toilets in public spaces) and leverage the networks and the reach of our supporting organisations.

How to get started

Investigate if and where you currently have disposal bins in toilets.

The first step to introducing disposal bins is to explore whether and where you currently have these in place and if they are adequate for all people who may need them regardless of the toilets that they may use. This will help you to assess the need for disposal bins across the toilets that you manage.

Determine where you will place the disposal bins

We’re suggesting that at least one disposal bin be placed in one cubicle in each set of male, female and unisex toilets so that people can access disposal bins in all toilets.

Explore future costs of having disposal bins placed in toilets

The next step will be to contact your existing provider and find out whether they have a bin in place for male product disposal bins.

Costs for disposal bins vary, a larger bin can cost anywhere between $120 and $540 per year with the maintenance fees included (which can occur monthly, fortnightly or weekly).

Some disposal bin providers are listed in the table below along with their websites which have further information.

Contact us for posters and stickers

Once you’ve adopted BINS4Blokes you need to make sure men know the bins are in place. Our posters are on this site here, and we can send you stickers for your toilets. We recommend:
